Welcome! The Ruby Room is a nonprofit organization that provides formal gowns to Seattle area high school girls who are unable to purchase their own dance attire. Dresses and accessories are collected throughout the year and made available at boutiques in the spring. Each girl is paired with a personal shopper volunteer who assists her in picking out the perfect gown. Dances are a significant milestone in the life of a young woman and you can contribute to a memory that will last a lifetime. Help us send these girls to a dance with elegance and style! Donate your formal attire, volunteer your time, or make a financial contribution. The Ruby Room Youth Council promotes the concept of Volunteer & Learn. The Volunteer & Learn program offers an opportunity to gain required community service hours through volunteer duties at The Ruby Room and offers a monthly life skill lesson supported by local businesses in the community. The goal of The Youth Council is to strengthen the lives of Seattle area young women through life skill workshops that will provide hands on education in areas that will promote a stronger sense of communication, coordination and self confidence. The Ruby Room believes that the young women in our community need the tools, resources and skills that our Youth Council Volunteer & Learn Workshops provide, to become strong and effective women in the future.
